White Oaxaca Copal is sustainably harvested by native communities who use ancient methods to care for the trees, and use long held traditions to nurture, cultivate, and harvest this very special resin. Each tin of Oaxaca Copal includes different sizes of resin, including the ground powder which is a pale, off-white in color, and can be soft and sticky to the touch. Your tin will be intuitively chosen, and similar to the one seen in the stock image. White Oaxaca Copal offers a timeless, refined fragrance and a tangible way to support purification, spiritual attunement, and ceremonial practice when used respectfully and mindfully.
How to use:
Using a firesafe container, start with a prayer honoring this as a special, sacred ceremony. Ground your energy, then ask for guidance and blessings.
Prepare a heat-safe container such as an abalone shell, or charcoal-safe burner. Use sand in bottom to diffuse heat. Maintain proper ventilation. Use tongs if using charcoal. If using a non-charcoal burner, ensure proper stability.
When using Charcoal, light the edge of the charcoal disc. The charcoal will crackle and turn an ash grey.
Let the Charcoal heat up for about 5 minutes.
Based on your intention, respectfully begin your ceremony with prayers.
Put a piece of the resin directly onto the charcoal. This offers a quicker burn. Do not touch charcoal.
You can also use a ‘non-charcoal’ burner using a tea light. This offers a slower burn (such as a Soapstone burner, see example below).
Move mindfully within your meditation, enjoying your spiritual ritual or ceremony or devotions.
If using a charcoal burner, Let the charcoal burn out completely.
You can use a Turkey feather to gently move the smoke energy. Once completed, close out your ceremony with gratitude and prayers.
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Caution: Charcoal Burn Warning: Please use caution when using charcoal disks. (Discs will continue to burn even though they may look snuffed out). Use appropriate holders to securely burn, and never leave burning incense or resin unattended. Do not place near anything that can cause a fire. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Crystals/Stones and display not included. Listing for (1).
