Using a firesafe container such as an Abalone Shell, Cauldron or Brass Burner, and place on a heat resistant surface.
If using charcoal, it is recommended that sand be used to help absorb heat in fireproof container
Use only a small amount of incense.
Apply flame directly to the incense.
