Peruvian Black Copal Negro Resin Incense 1oz.
This unique resin is derived from the Protium paniculatum tree, which is native to the lush landscapes of Peru. This remarkable tree, found in South America, produces a sap that emanates a distinctly woody scent, accompanied by subtle hints of pine, citrus, and earthy tones.
Revered by many cultures, resins have been used since ancient times in ceremonies, religious rites, to help clear energy, for purification, protection, and to celebrate life events. Many spiritualists from different cultures consider it to be sacred, calling it the ‘blood of the trees’. The Mayan and Aztec cultures used this for divination, and it was used during Egyptian times for balming practices, dating back over 2600BC.
Resin comes from the hardened sap of trees, and is released by the tree after injury to help heal, repair, and to help fight against infection. These resins are ethically sourced, and sustainably harvested by knowledgeable artisans who understand the cutting of the tree bark in a manner to preserve without harm.
Size: 1oz. tin granular resin with some larger pieces.
