Palo Santo is considered sacred to those living in the Andean and Amazonian areas, used by the Shamans of Peru. This sacred wood is sustainably harvested from dead wood, and is used by the indigenous people to clear the energy of their space, and to ward off evil (also known as smudging). Using Palo Santo has many uses, similar to Sage, from clearing energy, helping to reduce stress, and to assist during meditation or prayer work.
